A vigilante during the Dexter Park shootout has a bolt-action rifle. --Ben41 (talk) 18:12, 11 May 2015 (EDT)
actual Barrow Gang weapons
Frank's Ballinger's excellent site about Bonnie and Clyde has a few links [1] and pictures of actual weapons used by Bonnie and Clyde, as well as the massive amount of guns found in their car when they were killed in 1934. Weapons mentioned are:
- Browning Automatic Rifle, including the "scatter gun" model customized by Clyde
- Browning Auto-5 shotgun and its Remington derivative
- Winchester Model 1887 10-gauge lever-action shotgun
- the Remington Model 8 in .35 Remington used by Frank Hamer when pursuing the gang and the Colt Monitor he used in their ambush, as well as his Single Action Army he named "Old Lucky" and used in at least 52 gunfights
- Winchester Model 1894 used by a deputy to ambush Bonnie and Clyde
- a sawed-off shotgun Clyde had used
- Krag-Jørgensen used by Clyde (and seen in several photographs with him)
- M1911A1 (including one found in Barrow's death car that sold for $16,000 in auction)
- a "Colt .38 Army Special" with a bobbed hammer and cut-away trigger guard supposedly used by Clyde early in his criminal career
- a break-action revolver (Smith & Wesson 4th Model?) smuggled by Bonnie to Clyde for him to use in a jail breakout in 1930
- a Harrington & Richardson .32 break-action revolver given as a gift from Clyde to Bonnie
Gangster
We have a Crime category and a Detective category, should we have a category for Gangster films? Whether said category should be for strictly 20s-30s era gangsters or include all gang-related can be determined later. -Anonymous
