12 Rounds is a 2009 American action thriller film that stars John Cena as Danny Fisher, a police officer who after an encounter with an arms dealer that led to a shooting, now finds himself having to race around the city completing 12 tasks or else his kidnapped wife will be killed. The film's cast included Ashley Scott, Aidan Gillen, Steve Harris, Nick Gomez, and Gonzalo Menendez. The film was directed by Renny Harlin and produced by Mark Gordon (Speed and Criminal Minds) and would spawn two DTV sequels: 2013's 12 Rounds 2: Reloaded and 2015's 12 Rounds 3: Lockdown.
