I'm younger than your typical gun nut. Being 15, it is hard to be excepted by older people as a viable source of gun information. I try my hardest to show them wrong. I really hope no one on this site roles their eyes after reading I'm 15. I'm really a lot more knowledgable on guns than pretty much any kid I know. And most adults. I've had major experiance with firearms, being in a gunsmithing business with my father. It's a small business, but it is also a small New York town. I've been called a redneck before, and I hate it. Liking guns is not a good enough reason for someone to typecast you as one. I'm not a redneck, just a gun nut. I've come a long way in five years of extremely devoted studying from my father, books, the internet, and hands on experiance. I've come a long way for someone with such little money too. I've shot around maybe 100 or so firearms, and learned and studied hundreds more. Most of them I can strip and clean by memory. Having my own place to shoot at home helps. Although I've been to a range more than a few times. I envy people like MoviePropMaster2008 for being able to work with movie guns. I wish I could be a movie armorer. Although my main passion is film direction. My dream is to juggle both one day. The chance of this happening is extremely rare but, hey, a guy can dream, can't he?
I'm 18 and I love guns. I like to screencap and have done a ton of it for IMFDB. I love the 1911 series of pistols and I am a Browning enthusiast. My father and I work together in a gunshop, although I don't run a full time job in his shop and am currently unemployed. I know proper stance and combat training with firearms and hope to pursue a future in film making where I can show this off. Michael Mann is my inspiration for gun-accurate film making. I may be young but I show a level of maturity not typically found in teenagers (at least around adults or strangers... I'm only human). I live in New York, a crappy state for firearms lovers. I'm an Independant as I don't neccessarily agree with all Republican or Democratic views, and don't like being judged by either party for my views. So there's my quick description.

*Colt M1911A1 .45 ACP: I consider it the greatest handgun ever made and the grandfather of modern handguns, yet it is still good enough to serve right next to those guns today. Mine is a M1911 with original frame and internals from 1913, A1 slide, and a Winchester Stainless Compensator. I've reblued it so it looks nice. Soon I'll add 3 dot night sights and a stainless 3 holes target trigger.(I'll never sell it so why not give all it's worth?)I'll add a picture of it when it is finished.

*M1 Garand .30-06: A fine rifle with many devotions to modern rifles today. It is accurate and extremly fun to shoot. Could be a little lighter though. Mine served in both WWII and Korea(has WWII marking and Korea markings, along with Korea era sling)
*M1 Garand - .30-06

*M4A1/AR-15 A3 Carbine 5.56x45mm: Having fired both the full-auto and the civilian semi-auto, I've come to like the M4A1 style carbine rifles. I find them accurate and reliable. Wish I owned one personally though. My only trigger time with them is someone else's on a range.
*Ruger Mini-14 - 5.56x45mm

*M4A1 - 5.56x45mm

*SIG-Sauer P226 9mm: A fine handgun of today. "Hell and back reliability" is a fine slogan for the company, indeed.
*SIG-Sauer P220 - .45 ACP

*Glock 17 9mm: I've heard a lot of people say a Glock is a crappy plastic gun, which is not true at all. It is a reliable, light, easy-fitting handgun, easier to disassemble than a 1911(but not to say it is a better gun). Mine is a first generation with ugly target sights and two 17 round mags. I like it a lot.
*SIG-Sauer P226 - 9mm

*Smith and Wesson Model K-14/3 .38 special: A beautiful target .38 revolver. Smooth, crisp, and accurate.
*Glock 17 - 9mm

*Smith and Wesson Model 29 .44 Remington Magnum: Come on, it's Dirty Harry's gun, how could you NOT love it? Hard on the hand but nice indeed.
*Heckler & Koch USP-45 - .45 ACP

*Ruger Super Redhawk .44 Remington Magnum: Heavy but accurate and fun. With a scope, you can down deer with this baby.
*Colt Single Action Army - .45 Long Colt

*Browning A-5 12/16/20 gauge: One of the finest auto-loading shotguns ever made by the greatest gunmaker ever to live.
*Smith and Wesson Model 15 - .38 special

*Browning A-bolt 12 gauge: Light, powerful and quite possibley the most accuarte shotgun ever made, I use this for deer hunting, as does my father(him more of course, it beeing his gun).
*Smith and Wesson Model 29 - .44 Magnum

*Winchester Model 1892 .38-40: The smoothest medium caliber lever gun I've ever shot. Light and accurate too.
*Ruger Super Redhawk - .44 Magnum

*Winchester 1894M .22 Magnum Trapper: A gift from my grandfather. A great small game gun. This gun is no longer in production. Smoothest small caliber I've ever shot.
*Browning A-5 - 12/16/20 gauge

*Savage Anschutz .22 magnum: My current small game rifle. Accurate and reliable. A great rifle.
*Browning A-bolt (the finest slug gun ever built) - 12 gauge

I read that someone said this site is "An innacurate source filled with a bunch of dumb kids adding wrong information." I take that to heart and whenever I see wrong info, I do my best to correct it properly. Only recently learning how to upload pictures on this site, I've just gotten the hang of using the proper site format, so if someone does a half-ass job of putting a page together, I at least put it in proper format. I devote mind-bending hours of time adding pictures, taking screencaps, and making pages with no real reward but my own satisfaction to know people will be better informed. I hope no one thinks I'm trying to be cocky, I'm the complete opposite. I'd love to get to know the main editors of this sight better and possibley be accepted as one as well. I have a method of getting movie screencaps off DVDs but I first need to upload a photo editor to convert them from being BMPs to JPGs. I have a massive movie collection, many of which are on this site, and will definately add more screencaps once I have this photo editor. I upload pictures a lot. Someone even told me to cut it down a but, so now I try my hardest to check and see whether or not this picture is on the site or not before uploading. I hope to possibley make some friends, learn new things, and possibly let others learn new things too.

*My pride and joy, a customized M1911 pistol with a 1913 frame (note extreme lack of finish) and an M1911A1 slide. Fitted with nickel plated three cut compensator, replaces barrel bushing and reduces recoil substantually. The feeding ramp and frame are ground perfect for flawless chambering. This gun may look rough, but it fights tough. I named it "Gladys" because I was going through a Sin City phase, and the name stuck. I will eventually reblue it with mil-spec bluing so it looks better. Note the cuts in the mainspring housing, which is an obvious add-on, since the M1911 had a flat backstrap. The cuts are so it can be fitted with a stock. Since I don't have the 16" barrel on me to photgraph right now, I'll avoid adding on the stock so I don't get arrested for having a 5" barrel carbine. :P

Final Note
Spanish Llama XV "Especial"
I'm happy to be a part of this website and hope I can be accepted like any other user, and not be looked down on because of my age. Just think, most people wouldn't be honest enough to admit their age. I try to make it a point that age doesn't restrict knowledge from entering a younger person's mind. Please don't see some "dumb kid" adding information, but another gun nut just like the rest of you. I'd love to learn anything new from the rest of the site users willing to inform me on new things. If I screw up, write it on the discussion page. Please, be kind and civil, and I shall do the same. If anyone has any questions from me(which is somewhat uncommon), ask me on that page as well.

About Me

Me.

Hybrid 1911 "Gladys"

 • My pride and joy, a customized M1911 pistol with a 1913 frame (note extreme lack of finish) and an M1911A1 slide.
