Michael Roof was a character actor, most known to IMFDB users as Agent Shavers in xXx and xXx 2: State of the Union and as Pvt. Maddox in Black Hawk Down. Sadly, he also grappled with bipolar disorder (a long term medical condition that can create abrupt mood swings between mania and severe depression) and took his own life in June of 2009.
