Most of those screenshots could be axed, since the weapons on most of them are documented elsewhere on the page. I understand the inclusion of gun platforms when necessary, but most of these aren't. The AAV, Humvee, DPV, AH-6, and MH-60, among others, already have their armaments documented in the machine gun section, while the missile launcher truck is kind of out of IMFDB's scope. The only ones I can say with certainty that can stay are the AH-1 for its M197 nose gun, Z-10 for it's nose gun, and the autocannons on the LAV and other APCs. Check out the oddly proportioned magazines. What on earth are those supposed to be? 25 rounders? I haven't played this game yet, but if the devs can't even get the proportions of a 30 round AR-15 mag right it makes me wonder what else they screwed up, it doesn't instill much confidence. --MattyDienhoff 14:20, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
- They look a lot like the new 20 round curved magazines I've been seeing all over the damn place. And if you're looking for a great tactical game, OF:DR is it. If you're looking for another CoD, look elsewhere. --Asmkillr323 20:41, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
- If you're looking for a great tactical Game, then look elsewhere...but not at OFP:DR, the game is just a big screwup. Want realistic and tactical? Go check ArmA II.
- Want your computer to die painfully? Go check ArmA II. Otherwise stick to OFP:DR.
- Interesting, I've never seen those before.
- I'm regarding Dragon Rising in comparison to the first Operation Flashpoint and the ArmA series, not the more mainstream shooters which OFP never had a lot in common with, so relax, I'm not one of them. :P
I got this game for my birthday, and it was nothing like I thought it would be. More than once did my teammates get themselves killed because I told them to hide behind a wall, but apparently they thought I meant the wall of Chinese ammunition coming at us. I got to the third mission, then got stuck. Morons fail to warn me of a Chinese flanking manuever until they were 25m off, and my LVT-5's 25mm cannon conveniently can't hit them because they're so bloody close. I cashed it in at Gamestop to get money for my Mosin-Nagant M44. I guess I am too used to Call of Duty...Run its a T-55 02:01, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
PLA Sniper Rifle
I just played the game recently and I found what I assume to be an anti-materiel weapon named the M99 which is used by the PLA SpecOps snipers in the final mission (Dragon Fury). I'm new to this editing thing and would like some help with this. I don't have pictures as well, so I have no idea what to do. --GunEnthusiast
