The security guards at the airport are carrying Smith & Wesson revolvers of an unknown model. They are most likely either [[Smith & Wesson Model 10]]s, [[Smith & Wesson Model 15]]s, or [[Smith & Wesson Model 19]]s. They could be a combination of the three. In the actual event Charles Troyer (an Anne Arundel County police officer on the jetway) injured Byck with a .357 Magnum taken from Maryland Aviation Administration Police Officer George Neal Ramsburg (Byck had just shot and killed him). Also, there were Police Officers trying to shoot the Plane tires before it could get off the ground, but their .38 special revolvers could not penetrate them.
