I've been searching for years to find an M2 or M2A1-7 Flamethrower and I've never been able to find one is at least decent condition (I don't want to be the thing on thats on fire) and I know their legal in most southern state, including Florida. I mainly have two questions.
1. Why are they so rare and almost impossible to find? (Did Movie Companies buy most of them before the average man even thought about buying one?)

Hi, | |||
Can you tell me where you found that picture of the machine pistol from Public Enemies? That is an image that was originally sent to me by my contact at ISS, but I was told that I had to remove it for legal reasons. I will need to do the same now, but if you can point me to where you found the image, I'd appreciate it. -MT2008 23:31, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
:Thanks. Also, just an FYI: That's not the actual gun that was used by Dillinger's gang in real life. It is a recreation of the gun that was built by Independent Studio Services for use on the movie only. -MT2008 00:22, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
==Simo Häyhä== | |||
I just read your tribute to Simo Häyhä, a man I admire myself, and noticed you reffered to his rifle as having a scope mounted. From what I've read he didn't use a scope for fear the glint would give away his position. My sources could very well be incorrect, but I still wanted to confer with you over the conflicting information. On a different note, I have been reading alot of your comments on various articles concerning politics lately. I myself am an independent with Libertarian leanings and am intensely angered by many gun control advocates. However, I generally try to maintain a somewhat civil tone when I post (though occasionally I let my temper show) and am somewhat bothered by the inflammatory language you use in many of your messages. I agree with much of what you say but I think the personal attacks and confrontational tone you use negatively affect the sites atmosphere. This is just my opinon but I felt I should be open and mention this to you. -Anonymous

Where did you get your information about Apocalypse Now? Have you seen the documentary "Hearts of Darkness"? A lot of the information doesn't seem to be right, like Martin Sheen threatening to kill the director. Also, please check your spelling and grammar in your posts. --Ben41 02:45, 16 August 2010 (UTC)

He reverted your pic because it was the flip side of the gun. You should not have overwritten an existing photograph, rather you should have uploaded it as an alternate view and added it to the Webley Mk VI page. He did the right thing and you are welcome to reupload the image as a new image and add the flip side of the revolver to the gun's page. He 'may' have thought it was an original pic by me (which it was not, I just cleaned up the previous pic), but IMFDB rules state that usually original pics shot by me have priority over any jacked image from the internet, primarily because we have license to use my pics, but we're technically in violation of anyone's copyright of any pic we just jack from another site. People have requested that we remove pics and we do so immediately :) Of course that is not the case with the Webley MK VI but he may have thought so. In either case, he did the right thing. :) MoviePropMaster2008 22:06, 29 August 2010 (UTC) |

Clean-Up effort to IMFDB
I have noticed there are plenty of pages on this site that are okay, but could be alot better. Then there are pages that are just sorry. I have just finished my revisions of Shellshock Nam '67 , which before was on the verge of deletion.(to see what it was before i started on it, check out the version of it as of 12:26, 20 May 2010 to see) So if you see a page that could be really great, but is just sad, do your best to make it alot better. - Kilgore
