* [[David Lynch]] as FBI Supervisory Special Agent Gordon Cole reinstates Dale Cooper played by [[Kyle MacLaughlan]] as an FBI agent by handing him the Bureau's new 10mm sidearm in Episode 25 of "[[Twin Peaks]]." The FBI used the new sidearms in the early 90's before it encountered field problems and was replaced.
While the prop is referred to as a 1076 in the scene, it appears to be a S&W Model 4506 given the barrel length and the slide mounted decocking/safety lever. It is possible that the prop is a 1006 (same size and shape as the 4506) but given that other 10mm props were rechambered to .45 blanks (the Bren Ten used in Miami Vice), this seems less likely.
