Freedom Fighters (2003)

Freedom Fighters is a 2003 third-person shooter video game. The player controls Chris Stone, a plumber who becomes a member of the US resistance and helps fight back the invasion of the Red Army. It was developed by the Danish IO Interactive, creators of the Hitman franchise, Kane & Lynch: Dead Men and its sequel Dog Days.

Some of the weapon models appear to be based on ones from Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, just simplified (likely for consoles due to the higher amount of combatants as well as the game being entirely third person so the extra detail wouldn't be as noticed.)

The following weapons appear in the game Freedom Fighters:

Beretta 92FS

The Beretta 92FS is used by both NYPD in the first level, some of the rebels and incorrectly by Soviet guards and soldiers as their standard sidearm instead of a more correct Makarov PM. The one in the game has a 17-round magazine. Referred to as "Handgun".

Called "Submachine gun" in the game and strangely has better stopping power than the AK.
