During season 1 episode 1 "Fire in the Hole", one of Boyd Crowder's Neo Nazi thugs Dewey Crowe ([[Damon Herriman]]) tries to intimadate Raylan by loading a Mossberge 500 Cruiser with pistol grip, vertical foregrip, and has a saddle shell holder attached to the left side of the shotgun's receiver. Dewey loads two rounds in the shotgun but forgets to rack in a load, in which Raylan calls himout and says "Can you rack in a load before I put a hole through it?" Later in the episode Raylan Givens ([[Timothy Olyphant]]) takes Dewey's shotgun and fires one round to command Dewey and another of Crowder's Neo Nazis to handcuff themselves together before going off to confront Crowder.

Justified was a television crime drama that starred Timothy Olyphant as Raylan Givens, a Deputy US Marshal who is transferred back to his home state of Kentucky when his methods of apprehending criminals clashes with his superiors. Upon his return, he finds himself confronting friends and family who now are on both sides of the law. Justified was adapted from a short story and a series of novels written by author Elmore Leonard (Hombre, Get Shorty, and Out of Sight). The series, which was created by Graham Yost (Boomtown), premiered in the US on the FX Network and aired for six seasons from 2010 to 2015. Olymphant would reprise his role as Givens in Justified: City Primeval, a limited series which premiered on FX in July of 2023.
