The Beguiled is a 1971 gothic horror feature film adaptation of a 1966 novel writted by Thomas P. Cullinan. The film stars Clint Eastwood as a wounded Civil War veteran who is taken in by a boarding school composed entirely of Confederate women. During the stay, more and more strange events begin to take place. Director Don Siegel and Eastwood made this film just prior to Dirty Harry. A feature film remake directed by Sofia Coppola was released in 2017.
