The Winchester Model 1906 Rifle was the second in a series of Slide-Action rifles that were produced by Winchester. The rifle was designed by John and Mathew Browning as a lower cost follow on to the Winchester Model 1890 selling for 66% less.  The Model 1906 was initially chambered for .22 Short but after two years of production the rifles were produced in Short, Long, and Long Rifle interchangeably. The Winchester Model 1906 Rifle was produced from 1906 to 1932 with over 800,000 produced.
