Christian Bale is an English actor well known for his portrayal of Bruce Wayne, aka "Batman", in director [[Christopher Nolan]]'s ''[[The Dark Knight|Dark Knight]]'' feature film trilogy. One of his earliest acting roles was as the young schoolboy Jamie Graham in the 1987 [[Steven Spielberg]]-directed film ''[[Empire of the Sun]]''.
