This semiauto pistol, inspired by the [[SIG-Sauer P220 pistol series]], is the last version of a series initiated by Astra (Unceta) starting with the model A-80 (produced 1982-1989) and followed by the models A-90 (1986-1990) and A-100 (1990-2006). They have been made in several calibers: 9mm Parabellum, .38 Super Auto, .45 ACP. .40 S&W, and even 7.65mm Parabellum (only available to the A-80).
