::Correct, the M2 was not around when this movie was made (in fact, even the M1 was brand-new on the market when this movie was filmed; it was first introduced to the market in 1986). Also, on a related note: I'm pretty sure that the detachable magazines (both box and drum) that the shotgun uses in the movie are non-functioning props, since the Benelli action is by design a closed-breach system, which means that there's no way to feed the gun unless you remove the cartridge-loading lever at the bottom of the breach. The screenshots that we have on the page clearly reveal that this was not done (the lever is clearly visible in the close-up of the drum being loaded in), which makes me suspect that the detachable magazines are just props, and that the Benelli used in the movie was just firing blanks via its normal magazine tube. -[[User:MT2008|MT2008]] ([[User talk:MT2008|talk]]) 21:35, 28 November 2020 (EST) |

Regardless of the handle, the M2 was not made at the time Alien Nation was released. Benelli did not update to the M2 until some time in the last 10 years.
- Correct, the M2 was not around when this movie was made (in fact, even the M1 was brand-new on the market when this movie was filmed; it was first introduced to the market in 1986). -MT2008 (talk) 21:35, 28 November 2020 (EST)
