Well its not a big deal if the black bars are showing, some people like GM45 don't like it ,but it's still good as the screencap sizes would be consistent.
If you want to get rid of the black bars -go into MS Paint and use the rectangular select tool to select everything but the black bars, then go to Image>Crop (in the Menu Bar). --AdAstra2009 04:16, 22 September 2009 (UTC)

Sorry if you're offended
Don't take it personally.  But one of the things which irk the mods the most are members uploading endless new pics of guns we already have.  Also 99.99% of the shots uploaded are pirated shots and that UNDOES the work that people like me are trying to do, get our own LICENSED images, not used pirated gun images from other people's websites (we've been notified by several copyright owners of copyright violation and have had to remove 'jacked' gun pics. )  You upload TONS of new pics and that makes us wary, since we've counted several that are not necessary since we already have our own pics of the gun.  MT2008 has already asked you once why you uploaded an image of guns that we already have.  I don't know if you answered or not.  The rule is, if we already have the pic, don't overload the server with unnecessary images.  (The entire screencap controversy is something completely separate from this, we have various members with different ideas as to how many screencaps are needed on a page, but that is another debate that others are having and isn't relevant to your query).  The issue is not one of making mistakes.  You didn't make any sort of technical error or misidentified anything. But we expect members to check to see if an image is needed BEFORE they upload a new one.  Some of the members in the past have irritated the Mods and other members by uploading all their own images of guns for pages they create, when pre-existing images are already there.  If the NEW pics are markedly BETTER than the previous ones than it is understandable, but if the image is crappier than the one already here, we have to wonder what is that person's motivation is or if they are just being careless.  But we will continue to delete unnecessary images.  There is just too much new activity by new members to walk on eggshells with everyone.  Sorry if it seemed as if anyone singled you out.  MoviePropMaster2008 07:12, 15 October 2009 (UTC)

I was planning on building up a 38 super pistol just so that we could have a good picture of that gun.  Sure I don't like people photoshopping my pics together, but it isn't as bad as it once was (a lot of people seemed to be doing it and I put my foot down).  Now a vast majority of the membership knows that I dont' like it, so I've calmed down alot more about it ;)  About the creator, he's young (and might be slightly slow) so I'm very forgiving and are careful not to be mean.  In fact, if a user is super young chronologically or 'young in mind' ;)  I NEVER bash them.  In fact I'm extra gentle on them..... You KNOW I'm consider you like an equal when I'm rough on you! hahahaha.  I figure 'smart adults' can take the abuse! hahahaha.  the other exception is smart and world wise minors who can hold their own. ==Eagle has landed==
You have real M2s in your screencaps.  I checked out the screencaps and MOST of those are legitimate M2 carbines.  You can tell by the selector switch on the left side.  On the right sight if you can see a little nubb near the chamber area, it's an M2.  Of course M2s are anachronistic in a WW2 film.  The M2 was developed in the first part of 1945, it usually takes a YEAR for approval by the Dept of Defense (or War Dept in the 1940s) to actually get examples to the soldiers in the field.  So there would be NO M2s in combat before the war ended.
Regarding my proclamation, I was speaking of U.S. Movie gun Armories.  I suppose I should have put in the caveat that British Armories have tons of WW2 and Post WW2 stuff and could have way more of the M2s than American Movie gun inventories.  Since the Eagle Has Landed was filmed entirely in the U.K. their armorers were used.    So you have one of the few instances of true M2 Carbines in a film.  I suppose any film done in Great Britain could have them.  We HAVE them in the U.S., but I was particularly looking for them back in 2009 and realized that there hardly ANY amongst the major gun warehouses in Hollywood.  There ARE a few converted M1 Carbines, but those technically aren't M2s. Also those act just like MP40s, meaning that they're either on Safe or firing full auto, no semi auto.  :)  MoviePropMaster2008 05:25, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
