The 5th Wave is a 2016 science fiction action film directed by J Blakeson, based on the 2013 novel of the same name by Rick Yancey.
Earth is attacked by a race of aliens known only as "the Others". Rather than making their physical presence known, the Others have instead devastated humanity four waves of disasters. Ordinary teenager Cassie Sullivan (Chloë Grace Moretz) finds herself trying to survive the apocalyptic devastation, but learns that the fifth, and final, wave is yet to come.

Handguns
M1911
An M1911 is owned by Oliver Sullivan (Ron Livingston), who gives it to Cassie Sullivan for protection (Chloë Grace Moretz). Evan Walker (Alex Roe) later handles. Oliver refers to it as a "Colt forty-five".
Beretta 92FS
The Beretta 92FS is used by several characters, including the immune troops.
SIG-Sauer P226
A survivor is seen using a SIG-Sauer P226.
Smith & Wesson Model 64
What appears to be a Smith & Wesson Model 64 is used by a survivor (Matthew Zuk).
Rifles/Carbines
M4A1 Carbine
Military troops as well as Cassie Sullivan (Chloë Grace Moretz) are armed with M4A1s. Most of the M4A1s have EOTech holographic sights attached.
M4A1 Carbine/Noveske N4 Hybrid
In the film's opening, Cassie Sullivan (Chloë Grace Moretz) is seen with a modified M4A1 with a Noveske N4 lower receiver.
