The Silent Partner is a 1978 Canadian crime thriller. The film was directed by Daryl Duke and written by Curtis Hanson (L.A. Confidential,8 Mile,The River Wild) . Featuring a rare villainous turn by Christopher Plummer Silent Partner was the first movie produced by the film company Carolco (First Blood,Basic Instinct,Terminator 2: Judgment Day). In the years since it's 1978 release it has achieved cult film status

Walther P38
The only extensively used weapon in the film is a Walther P38, the sidearm of the bank robber Harry Reikle (Christopher Plummer).
Smith & Wesson Model 10
Frank (Sean Sullivan), the bank guard, carries a Smith & Wesson Model 10 in his holster, drawing it in the bank robbery, and again during the finale.
