The Sandpit Generals (also known as The Wild Pack and The Defiant) is a 1971 low budget exploitation film based on the novel Captains of the Sands by Brazilian novellist Jorge Amado. It was little known in USA, but became an iconic film in the USSR where it was awarded "The Best Foreign Film" in 1974. The Sandpit Generals was remade as City of God at 2002.
Due to the film's low budget, it was filmed at low resolution and has never been restored.
The following weapons were used in the film The Sandpit Generals:
Smith & Wesson Mk II Hand Ejector
Bullet (Kent Lane), leader of the teenagers gang, carries the Smith & Wesson Mk II Hand Ejector under his clothes throughout the film. He uses it during gun fights. Dora (Tisha Sterling) uses this gun in one instance.
Madsen M50
At one point, Bullet armes himself with a Madsen M50. At the end of the film policemen also use this SMG.
