The Client is the 1994 feature film adaptation of the John Grisham novel of the same name. The film stars Susan Sarandon as Reggie Love, a small time lawyer who tries to keep a young witness alive as he evades the mob as well as an ambitious District Attorney (Tommy Lee Jones). The film also marked the first of two John Grisham novels to be adapted by director Joel Schumacher (the second being 1996's A Time to Kill). The novel would later be developed into a television series that aired on CBS from 1995 to 1996.
The following weapons were used in the film The Client:
Handguns
Ruger SP101
Jerome 'Romey' Clifford (Walter Olkewicz) carries a Ruger SP101, which he uses to commit suicide. Mark Sway (Brad Renfro) briefly takes it and holds it on Clifford.
Walther PPK/S
Barry 'The Blade' Muldano (Anthony LaPaglia) uses a suppressed Walther PPK/S with pearl grips as his main weapon. Mark Sway (Brad Renfro) later gets a hold of it and holds him at gunpoint with his own gun. Reggie Love (Susan Sarandon) takes it from Mark and shoots an alarm.
Shotguns
12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun
After hearing his alarm go off, an elderly man exits his house holding a 12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun.
