According to all sources I could find, the Bersa Thunder wasn't produced until 1995. I see why the identification was made, though -- the trigger guard definitely looks like it has that little finger step. Any thoughts on a similar PPK clone from 1972? I'm still looking for something with a trigger guard like that.

I don't think this could be a Bersa Thunder, since Season 5 was from 1972 and from all sources I could find, the Bersa Thunder was not designed until 1995. I can see why the identification was made, however -- the image used does seem to show a trigger guard with a finger step.
