The following firearms were used in the film American History X:
Handguns
Ruger P94
In the beginning of the film, Derek Vinyard (Edward Norton) uses a Ruger P94 to shoot two black robbers/gangbangers who are trying to steal his truck. He kills one, and wounds the other, but he kills the final robber by brutally curbstomping him just before the police arrive. In typical movie fashion, Derek impressively fires 24 rounds without reloading from a single 10 or 15 round magazine, in boxers with no pockets to store extra magazines.
Glock 21
Seth (Ethan Suplee) carries a Glock 21 in the film. It can be seen in full detail when he lays it down on the bathroom sink in the Vinyard's home. Later on in the movie he uses it to threaten Derek (Edward Norton) at the party after Derek resigns from the neo nazi gang. However, Derek manages to take the gun from him, and uses it to threaten the gangmembers so he can get away from the party. Later on he unloads the gun, and discards the weapon in a dumpster while throwing the magazine in a trash can.
Smith & Wesson Model 15
During the scene where the skinheads are trashing Archie's Supermarket, one of the employees goes into the back of the store, and grabs a Smith & Wesson Model 15 revolver. Altough, before he gets to use it, he is hit in the face with a mop by Derek Vinyard.
Beretta 92FS
Beretta 92FSs are seen several times during this film. One of the gangbangers (described as Crips) that try to break into Derek's truck carries a Beretta, altough he is killed before he gets a chance to use it. The police officers who arrest Derek Vinyard after the beginning shootout also carry Berettas as their sidearms. Little Henry (Jason Bose Smith) also uses one in the end of the film.
Shotguns
Remington 870
At the party after Derek's (Edward Norton) release from prison, a neo-Nazi guard can briefly be seen with a shotgun. It has wood furniture and an extended magazine tube. We can't be sure but it's probably a Remington 870 Police Magnum.
Also, when Derek is in prison, a guard can briefly be seen holding a shotgun with an extended magazine tube from a distance. It is impossible to identify this because it is seen in even less detail and in black and white, but it is plausible that this is the same exact shotgun seen after his release from prison.

Various
When Derek goes to see Cameron (Stacy Keach) after he is released from prison, we can see a gun cabinet full of various shotgun and rifles in Cameron's house.
