The Marathon (Original title: Maratón) is a 1968 Czech black-and-white war drama directed by Ivo Novák. Against the backdrop of historical events Prague uprising in May 1945 develops a love story escaped prisoner Ruda Strecha (Jaromír Hanzlík) and rural maids Karla Zelinková (Jana Brejchová). Alongside the Red Army rushes to help Prague also the Czechoslovak military unit, whose member is Ruda's brother Jarda Strecha (Vladimír Mensík).

Czechoslovak troop is also armed with Goryunov SG-43 machine guns.

The Soviet officer gave a sign from a SPSh Flare pistol, that the bridge is demining.

Czech insurgents seize also some anti-tank Panzerfausts.
Minomet vz.52
Czechoslovak soldiers in battle use a Vz. 52 mortar. This weapon is in WWII anachronistic.

German defenders opened fire at a Soviet tank from a 45 mm anti-tank gun M1942 (M-42).
