The Viper (Gadyuka) is a Soviet 1965 B&W drama movie directed by Viktor Ivchenko and based on the novel by Aleksey Tolstoy. During the Russian Civil war a young woman Olga Zotova (Ninel Myshkova) joins the Red Army. She passes through battles, becomes a brave and tried fighter, but when the war is over, Olga cannot find her place in a peaceful life.

The following weapons were used in the film The Viper (Gadyuka):

Revolvers

Nagant M1895

Nagant M1895 revovlers are used by Olga Zotova (Ninel Myshkova), Olga's beloved man, cavalry commander Dmitriy Emelyanov (Boris Zajdenberg), and several White officers, notably Val'ka Brykin (Ivan Mikolaychuk). Some characters, including the Red commissar Vera (Yelena Litskanovich) and a Militsioner (Valentin Chernyak) in the final scene, set in 1920s, carry Nagants in holsters. Screen revolvers are mostly, if not all, of correct pre-1930 version.

Rifles

Mosin Nagant M1938 Carbine

Red Army cavalrymen, including Olga Zotova (Ninel Myshkova), carry Mosin Nagant M1938 Carbines, used as the replacement for M1907 Carbines. The hoods from the front sights are removed from some carbines, likely to make them look more authentic for early 20th century.
