The Breda Modello 31 is an Italian 13.2mm machine gun; it's a license-produced version of the French Hotchkiss M1929. It served as an anti-air weapon aboard the vast majority of the Regia Marina's ships in twin and single mounts, as well submarines and smaller craft like MAS boats; it was also found on some tanks and trains. The Modello 31 was the basis for the enlarged 20mm Breda Modello 35.
The Imperial Japanese Navy also used their own domestic version of the Hotchkiss aboard ships, the Type 93.
