Captain Mitch Nelson ([[Chris Hemsworth]]) and other Special Forces soldiers use [[M4A1]] carbines with a variety of attachments. Note that all of the M4A1s in the film sport the period-correct (for 2001) N1 CAR stock, as the LE "waffle"-style stock was not widely available in 2001, when the events of the film took place. Independent Studio Services (ISS), which provided all weapons in the movie, sourced multiple Colt-manufactured N1 CAR stocks (which had long been out of production at the time of filming) at the production's request.
