Mauser Broomhandle

You still working on that book in which the character uses a Broomhandle? I know you posted the question four years ago, but I own one and I've fired them. Might be able to help. Sorry for the tardy response, but better late than never. Right? --Jcordell (talk) 12:23, 18 November 2017 (EST)
Well, I appreciate the offer, but that ended up not happening! Still love the C96, though. --PyramidHead (talk) 18:55, 20 November 2017 (EST)

Grammar corrections

Many thanks for grammar corrections in Duelist and others! After many years of studying English, I still make mistakes and I'm thankful that you corrected the text. --Greg-Z (talk) 02:58, 19 April 2020 (EDT)

And again I thank you for corrections! I just wanted to clarify the following point: much earlier I was told that correct English term is WW2 rather than WWII. Now I see that you use the Roman numbers. So WWII is correct? Thanks! --Greg-Z (talk) 15:00, 29 June 2020 (EDT)
Thanks, got it. I agree, Roman numbers are better here. --Greg-Z (talk) 15:18, 29 June 2020 (EDT)

The Witch (Vedma)

Hello, PyramidHead! A geat thanks for the correcting my terrible English in The Witch (Vedma) and Yakuzas movies. But, I have one moment: the Ukrainian language also spoken in the "The Witch" TV-series, thought virtualy rare: some episodical characters speak Ukrainian at the very few points (possibly, due they played by Ukrainian actors, while they are Russians according the plot). So, Ukrainian also spoken in this media. Pyramid Silent (talk) 14:26, 17 July 2020 (EDT)

On the M1911 in Death on the Nile

So far so good, but try not to make the assumption that it's a later version of the pistol purely because folks assume that the A1 is more seen in films than the original M1911. Many of these classic armories got their guns decades ago. I remember that a previous mod (whom will remain unnamed) kept on making these types of assumptions. He stated that most P38s in War movie were probably P5s because they were newer and he assumed that they were more common. That's not correct, though. I've been to most of these gun armories and most of the handguns were acquired when they were common and cheap. Many of these armories have been around since the early 20th century or acquired the collections of other movie armories from that time period. Stembridge, ISS and Cinema Weaponry for example had tons of original wartime P38s because they were all acquired when original Wartime P38 pistols were common. Bapty's Armory of England has TONS of original Ww1 and WW2 era weapons. They never use modern repros for any of the war pics filmed in England for example. On a interesting trivia note: Stembridge acquired all of their Civil War Guns (seen in Gone with the Wind) during the Great Depression of the 1930s. Sid Senior went around the deep south and purchased the guns from any family will to sell them and they were all original Civil war guns. They had THOUSANDS of original Civil war firearms. In fact they provided over 4000 original civil war weapons to the movie "Glory" :D At the time, some of the writers just assumed that they used modern black powder reproductions of 19th century firearms, but the armory had thousand of original guns from the period. Back to the M1911, or M1911A1, I look forward to the release so we can score some good screencaps of the movie. :D MoviePropMaster2008 (talk) 00:54, 16 September 2020 (EDT)

Thanks. Also Sid Senior, when he drove through the South in the 1930s, offered families $5 dollars per gun. He picked up entire TRUCKloads of original cap and ball revolvers, long guns, including original kentucky flintlocks, and even some Brown Besses. when I first visited the Stembridge armory in the 1980s. they had wine barrels PACKED with flintlock and Cap & ball long guns, sorted by type. The last time I was there, there were crates of 'wheel lock' long guns, which no one was renting for movies any more.  :( MoviePropMaster2008 (talk) 13:55, 18 September 2020 (EDT)

RE: SKS Mass-dimensional model

I'm not entirely sure how it will be in English, but the bottom line is that the KC produces a number of weapon models, a non-firing copy of the guns corresponding to the original in size and weight. It is used in the design of equipment for testing the layout, as well as for joint testing of several types of equipment. In the case of weapons, it is used in the initial stages of training and as a collectible. Also, you can buy MMG without a gun license. --Pustelga7 (talk) 24 December 2020

Colt resurrections

They aren't cheap and I've only seen the Cobra here in Idaho, but I'm glad the company is bringing them back. --Jcordell (talk) 21:41, 24 March 2021 (EDT)

Your Sandbox

If you don't mind me asking, do you have those stories posted anywhere? They sound pretty neat. BrandonColeford1992 (talk) 22:58, 24 March 2021 (EDT)

Thanks, man. I took a look, and it's good stuff - I look forward to this being published some day. Keep up the good work. BrandonColeford1992 (talk) 22:57, 25 March 2021 (EDT)

Reply Sandstorm Images

My apologies that I didn't reply you sooner. The reasons why I replaced them are some of the stuffs like unique ammo check animations, unique attachments like optics for particular firearm, etc were missing while some of the screenshots were seemed to not capture "Critical" moments like pressing bolt release, pulling charging handle, etc for me & considering it might be looking rather "Awkward" for me only adding missing ones, I thought that it'd be better to replace the entire screenshots of them in order to make them looking more "Dynamic" in overall. Also, loadout menu screenshots are usually only reserved for firearms in default configurations (For attachments like UBGLs & underbarrel shotguns they're with the host firearm without other attachments & also in unaltered camera as in the model not being moved yet except for UBGLs which I turned 180° to the left for inspecting their range finder) while those with additional attachments like unique flash hider, suppressor, etc usually only need screenshots of them (M1 Garand in Sandstorm page is one of the examples). If the unique attachment alters the model of firearm into different one like Sterling Mk. 4 with suppressor will turn into Sterling Mk. 5 (I also added speed reload animations for the latter while foregoing the ADS for it due to being identical), then I'll make the new entry for it. Also, some firearms like AR & AK-platforms (Excluding Q Honey Badger & AS Val for them) have their animations reused which means that you don't have to include both animations as long as they're actually reusing animations of existing firearms. I also noticed that you recently added screenshots when being spawned which have the shooter preparing his gun like extending buttstock, pulling charging handle, etc. If that's the case, would you mind to allow me help you including missing ones (I might replace some of them if deemed necessary)? Although I've been rather busy IRL, I'm still staying tuned to the updates & announcements in Sandstorm. If there's any question just ask, OK? AgentHotel (talk) 23:23, 23 April 2021 (EDT)

Almost forgot to tell that it's preferable for the screenshots showing the "Impact" while still being variative like slow-mo scenes on John Woo's films in order to make the viewers being able to "Feel" the "Impact" on the screenshots of the animations in sequential order while not looking too "Redundant" / "Monotone" due to the screenshots having too many similar scenes, despite having various animations (E.X. Pulling the charging handle, flipping during speed reload which may show dumped mag, unfolding the foregrip, 'Tapping' the mag, etc). Plus, do note that once you changed your class, there'll be a message popup at the top left saying that "Your class will change to (Name of the class) on respawn or resupply" which will eventually disappear as long as you don't switch to the other class. If you deploy / spawn earlier from the loadout menu without waiting the message to disappear, then the message will still remain before eventually disappear (The "Ready" animations can only triggered when being deployed / spawned). AgentHotel (talk) 05:26, 27 April 2021 (EDT)
Excuse me, just to let you know that I just uploaded new screenshots for both hand-cannons in Update 1.10 (Along with their ready / deploy animations). At the time of writing this it's already midnight (I'm in UTC+7) which means that I'll update the Sandstorm page once I wake up. I also have the wiki draft for both hand-cannons in Notepad as well which I'm currently editing before being pasted on Sandstorm page once it's done (After I wake up, of course). AgentHotel (talk) 14:47, 19 May 2021 (EDT)
I almost forgot to tell you that I've been busy recently due to joining intensive program from course I'm attending until late July, which means that I may not be able to add / update screenshots immediately (Especially those for ready / deploy animations). However, I may still be able to provide minor edits in the meantime if necessary. Plus, I just told AgentGumby regarding ISMC mod for Sandstorm at his talk page considering I'm one of the Organizers in the ISMC dev team who's responsible in documenting shared assets. If there's any question, then do let me know. AgentHotel (talk) 11:59, 22 May 2021 (EDT)

Pedro Pascal

Good job filling out his bio. Too many years of writing police reports tend to make for a compact writing style with a "just the facts" approach and little in the way of nice to have embellishments. Seeing how the man's star is definitely on the rise and is now one of the highest paid actors working in television. he has earned a bio. --Jcordell (talk) 02:16, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
