Death on the Nile is the 2022 feature film adaptation of the Agatha Christie novel of the same name. Kenneth Branagh returns from 2017's Murder on the Orient Express to direct and star as the legendary Belgian detective Hercule Poirot, who investigates a murder while traveling in Egypt. Ridley Scott again serves as producer and the cast includes Gal Gadot, Annette Bening, and Tom Bateman. The 2022 film follows a 1978 feature film adaptation that was directed by John Guillermin and starred Peter Ustinov as Poirot as well as an episode from the ITV series that starred David Suchet as Poirot. The film was scheduled for theatrical release on October 23, 2020, but was delayed until its premiere on February 11, 2022.
