The CZ 805 BREN is a Czech modular assault rifle, designed to be adaptable to multiple calibers and roles (carbine, light squad automatic and marksman) through the use of quick-change barrels and a separate magazine housing. Introduced to the public in 2009, the CZ 805 replaced the Sa vz. 58 assault rifle as the standard infantry rifle of the Czech Armed Forces. With a simple swap of the magwell unit it can go from using CZ's proprietary polymer magazines to using STANAG magazines and vice versa.
