Handguns
Smith & Wesson Model 28
Sheriff Bannerman (Tom Skerritt) uses a Smith & Wesson Model 28 "Highway Patrolman" revolver as his sidearm. Deputy Frank Dodd (Nicholas Campbell) also carries one as his sidearm, his mother Henrietta Dodd (Colleen Dewhurst) later is seen firing it. Dodd's Model 28 has black rubber combat grips.
Colt Python
When Henrietta Dodd (Colleen Dewhurst) is using Frank's S&W Model 28, a continuity problem results in it somehow turning into a Colt Python revolver (continuity problem). It is possible they had to reshoot this scene on a later date, and the Model 28s they had used were no longer available.
Heckler & Koch P7
Sonny Elliman (Géza Kovács), the bodyguard of Greg Stillson (Martin Sheen) carries a Heckler & Koch P7. It can be identified as a P7 PSP because of its heel mounted magazine release. Sonny carries it in his waistband and ends up firing it at the end of the film. Stillson later obtains Sonny's PSP and is seen holding it in Johnny Smith's last vision.
Rifles
Sporterized Karabiner 98k
Johnny Smith (Christopher Walken) uses a Sporterized Karabiner 98k at the Greg Stillson rally.
