S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is the long-awaited sequel to the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. trilogy, developed and published by GSC Game World, with a planned release date for the first quarter of 2024 on PC and Xbox Series consoles. It is a first-person survival horror shooter game, like the original trilogy, and is set to return to the Zone, now rendered beautifully in Unreal Engine 5 and featuring proper character voice acting and motion capture, along with vastly better graphics.
Initially announced following the release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat, it was initially planned to have released in 2012, before it was ultimately cancelled on the year of its intended release.
