The Guest is a 2014 American thriller directed by Adam Wingard, starring Dan Stevens and Maika Monroe.
The Peterson family is mourning the loss of their eldest son, Caleb, a US Army soldier who was recently killed in action in Afghanistan. The family is visited by David, a former soldier who claims to have been Caleb's best friend in the military. The family invites him to stay around for as long as he likes, charmed by his affable demeanor. However, David displays a startling violent side, and may not be who he really claims to be.
The following weapons were used in the film The Guest:
Pistols
Star Model B
David (Dan Stevens) is seen with a Star Model B when buying guns from Craig's friend Higgins (Ethan Embry). He is also seen disassembling the weapon as well. It is referred to as a "nine-millimeter Witness Elite". While the Star Model B bears little resemblance to the EAA Witness, the latter may have been intended to be the gun originally used in this scene.
Walther P99
A Walther P99 is among the weapons offered by Craig's gun dealer friend Higgins.
CZ 75B
Another handgun that Higgins brings to sell to "David" is a CZ 75B.
Beretta 92FS
Another one of the handguns Higgins brings to sell to "David" is a Beretta 92FS.
Glock 17
Various characters are seen with Glock 17 pistols, including the mercenaries and "David".
Beretta 92D
Major Carver (Lance Reddick) is seen with a Beretta 92D fitted with ivory grips as his sidearm, when he goes after "David" in the climax. Later, David, as well as Anna (Maika Monroe), take and use the weapon for themselves.
Revolvers
Smith & Wesson Model 65
Higgins (Ethan Embry) pulls a Smith & Wesson Model 65 on "David" (Dan Stevens) when he said he'll "take" all the guns. "David" takes the Model 65 from Higgins and uses it to shoot Craig (Joel David Moore).
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
Heckler & Koch MP5A3s with RIS foregrips and a variety attachments are used by Major Carver (Lance Reddick) and the other mercenaries.
Rifles
M4A1 Carbine
Higgins also brings a M4A1 Carbine fitted with a RIS rail to the gun deal. David then takes it and uses it in the shootout at the Peterson house.
Shotguns
Benelli M1
A modified Benelli M1 is used by one of the mercenaries and is fitted with a SureFire pump, side saddle shell holder, and ghost ring sights.
Machine Guns
FN M249E2 SAW
An M249 SAW machine gun is brought by the mercenaries and is brought out to even the shootout.
Others
M67 hand grenade
Two M67 hand grenades are seen in the packing crate.
