The Translator (Perevodchik) is a Russian 2014 (filmed 2013) war drama mini series. The plot is set in a Nazi occupied Soviet town of Taganrog. The local school teacher Starikov (Vitaliy Khaev) has to serve as a translator for the German Sicherheitsdienst (SD) to save himself and his family.
The following weapons were used in the film The Interpreter (Perevodchik):
Pistols
Luger P08 (Denix)
Initially the head of the SD in Taganrog Sturmbannführer Martin Leitner (Joachim Paul Assböck) carries a Luger P08. The markings reveal the gun as a Denix replica. Later Leitner is armed with a Walther P38.
Walther P38
SD officers Sturmbannführer Martin Leitner (Joachim Paul Assböck), Untersturmführer Georg Stieber (Georg Blumreiter) and Hauptscharführer Franz Saurich (Petar Zekavica) carry Walther P38 pistols. Andrey Petrovich Starikov (Vitaliy Khaev) hold a P38 in several scenes.
Dummy pistol
Saurich carries a holster for a FN Model 1922 or a similar pistol with a dummy gun inside.
Submachine Guns
MP40
MP40 submachine guns are seen in hands of several German soldiers and officers. Andrey Starikov (Vitaliy Khaev) is armed with an MP40 in the climactic scene. Two MP40s are seen on screen, one of the early model and another one of the late model, with different cocking handles and magazine wells.
MP38
When Starikov's first MP40 runs dry, he takes an MP38.
Rifles
Tokarev SVT-40
One or two German soldiers are armed with SVT-40 rifles.
Mosin Nagant M1891/30
Several Hilfspolizei, notably Andryukha (Oleg Shirshin) and Lyokha (Aleksey Timchenko), carry Mosin Nagant M1891/30 rifles.
Karabiner 98k
Most German soldiers carry Karabiner 98k rifles.
Machine Guns
MG34
MG34 machine guns are seen in several scenes, mostly mounted on motorcycles.
MG34 Panzerlauf
An MG34 Panzerlauf machine gun mounted on a German Pz III tank is most likely a mockup.
ZB-30
A ZB-30 machine gun (on the German service it was known as MG 30(t)) is also seen on a motorcycle.
ZB-53
A ZB-53 (MG 37(t) on Wehrmacht service) machine gun is also used by the German soldiers.
Other Weapons

A number of German soldiers carry Model 24 Stielhandgranate hand grenades.
Model 39 Eihandgranate
During his fight, Andrey Starikov (Vitaliy Khaev) uses Model 39 Eihandgranate hand grenades.
45 mm 53-K AT Gun
A destroyed Soviet 45 mm 53-K AT gun is seen on the road.
