He is also remembered for his role as Jonathan "The Duke" Mardukas opposite [[Robert De Niro]] in the 1987 film ''[[Midnight Run]]''. In addition, Grodin would go on to host a self-titled talk show on CNBC from 1995 to 1996. He passed away on May 18, 2021, from bone marrow cancer at the age of 86.

Charles Grodin (1935–2021) was an American actor/talk show host well known for his role as George Newton in two installments of the Beethoven film series. He is also remembered for his role as Jonathan "The Duke" Mardukas opposite Robert De Niro in the 1987 film Midnight Run. In addition, Grodin would go on to host a self-titled talk show on CNBC from 1995 to 1996. He passed away on May 18, 2021, from bone marrow cancer at the age of 86.
