Assault on Precinct 13 is the 2005 remake of the 1976 John Carpenter thriller. The remake was directed by Jean-François Richet and changes the setting from Los Angeles to Detroit, where Sgt. Jake Roenick (Ethan Hawke) must prevent a team of corrupt officers from eliminating known crime boss Marion Bishop (Laurence Fishburne) in a decomissioned Detroit police precinct during a winter snowstorm. The film's cast includes John Leguizamo, Maria Bello, and Gabriel Byrne and was released in the US to theaters on January 19, 2005.

At the beginning of the film, Sgt. Jasper (Brian Dennehy) can be seen examining and joking about an M1928 Thompson found in the evidence room. Anna (Aisha Hinds) also takes this weapon for her own use later in the movie.

SIG SG 552
Marcus Duvall's (Gabriel Byrne) men also use heavily customized SIG SG 552s. These 552s have Aimpoint M68 red dot sights, suppressors, red lasers, flashlights, and forward rail grips. Sergeant Jake Roenick (Ethan Hawke), Marion Bishop (Laurence Fishburne), and Beck (John Leguizamo) all are seen using these carbines. Charles Taylor, the film's armorer, mentioned in a BTS featurette that some of the weapons were electrical replicas to be used when fired at the principle actors.
A Detroit officer standing guard is seen armed with a Mossberg 500AT shotgun while Bishop is escorted to the prison bus.

Remington 870
Wayne County Deputy Rosen (Kim Coates) and Deputy Gil (Dorian Harewood), the guards on the prison bus, are seen carrying Remington 870 shotguns in addition to their Berettas. Roenick also carries a Remington 870 in some scenes.

M203 Grenade Launcher
One of Duvall's has an M203 grenade launcher on his Colt Model 727, which he fires at the Precinct with blinding and deafening results.
