Vicious Circle (Original title: Suletud ring, Russian: Замкнутый круг, Zamknutyy krug) is a 1983 Soviet Estonian made for TV movie, based on the novel "Someone ought to mourn" by the Swedish writer K. Arne Blom. In a small Swedish town, Mr. Fromm, the owner of a public relations research firm, is murdered. A day later, his friend Turen, the commissioner of police investigating, also is killed. Then police investigator Holmberg begins an his own investigation.
The following weapons were used in the film Vicious Circle (Suletud ring):
Nagant M1895
During the murder of Mr. Fromm, the killer uses Nagant M1895 (probably standing on Swedish M1887 variant).
Tokarev TT-33
Police investigator Holmberg (Arvo Kukumägi) uses TT-33 pistol (perhaps standing on the similar FN Model 1903/Swedish Husqvarna M1907, as in several other films) during an ambush scene.
Unidentified Pocket Revolver
Holmberg seen at the end of the movie with a revolver, which is reminiscent the Colt/S&W pocket revolvers, but with a number of unusual features in the form of a high/fixed sights, and a right-side cylinder latch (the latter feature may simply be due to the fact that the scene is mirrored). From this it can be assumed that this is most likely the one of innumerable European pocket revolvers, based on Colt/S&W design, such as Röhm.
Walther PPK
Petra (Alice Podelski) in the end of the movie carries the Walther PPK.
