The Punisher (Russian title: Каратель, Karatel) is a 1969 (filmed 1968) Soviet movie. The action takes place in Greece after the 1967 military coup. Soldier Vangelis gets a layoff out of turn. But this day, received for participating in the execution of a communist member, he does not know where to go. Fleeing a patrol after a street fight, Vangelis takes refuge with his girlfriend.
The following weapons were used in the film The Punisher (Karatel):
Rifles
M1 Carbine
Vangelis (Evgeniy Kindinov) and other Greek soldiers carry the M1 Carbines.
M1 Garand
At the beginning of the movie, one of the Greek soldiers is visible with an M1 Garand equipped with a bayonet.
Machine Guns
Browning M2
The Browning M2 is visible in documentary frames.
Other
Holstered Pistols
Some military commanders, and military police officers carry holstered pistols in the film. This is presumably M1911A1s, although it is not clearly visible for error-free identification.
