The officer stops Joy's vehicle and pulls out an Advanced M26 Taser when Joy refuses to stay in the car. Four years later the same cop also uses the Taser against Earl. S1ep17: Officer Bob Smiley pulls out the Taser (again) when he sees Earl doing voluntary government work by fixing a hole in the road. This time Earl convinces him not to shoot. S4ep21: In "Witch Lady" another cop (Randy Brenner) also uses an M26 Taser to neutralize the "witch". That scene takes place in the 1980s, making the M26 Taser heavily anachronistic.
