Mandate (Mandat) is a Soviet 1964 (filmed 1963) historical adventure movie directed by Nikolay Lebedev. In 1919 Bolshevik Gleb Prokhorov leads a prodotryad ("food squad") that has a mission to collect grain in villages for starving Petrograd. Prokhorov is accompanied by his thirteen years old son, also named Gleb (diminutive name Glebka). But the unit is attacked by local gang. Dying Prokhorov passes his mandate, signed by Lenin, to his son.
The following weapons were used in the film Mandate:
Revolvers
Nagant M1895
The chieftain of the gang Bat'ka Khmel (Nikolai Kryukov) and one of his men use Nagant M1895 revolvers.
Reichsrevolver M1879
Glebka Prokhorov (Boris Shcherbakov) carries a Reichsrevolver M1879, confiscates from bandit Grishka (Nikolay Kuzmin). This revolver, wiped nearly to white, appears to be the same prop, used in numerous Lenfilm productions, notably Priklucheniya Sherlocka Holmsa i doktora Vatsona.
Pistols
Mauser C96
Gleb Prokhorovich Prokhorov (Igor Bogolyubov) and Dubok (Mikhail Vasilyev), respectively commander and commissar of prodotryad, carry Mauser C96 pistols.
Astra 900
Commissar Dubok (Mikhail Vasilyev) holds an Astra 900 pistol during the shootout with the gang (later his handgun switches to a Mauser C96). This pistol appears to be the same prop, seen in several other Lenfilm productions, including Nachalnik Chukotki, and Makar-sledopyt.
Rifles
Mosin Nagant M1891
Personnel of the prodotryad are armed with Mosin Nagant M1891 Infantry rifles.
Note: see additional images on talk page.
Mosin Nagant "obrez"
Several bandits are armed with Mosin Nagant "obrez" sawed-off rifles.
Trivia
Artillery
Red Army 76.2mm M1902 field guns are seen in Petrograd.
Ancient cannons are seen near the building of Kremlin Arsenal.
Armour
A replica of Austin armoured car is seen in same scene. It is based on Austin-Putilov version, identified by diagonally placed turrets.
