The Marlin Model 1889 was Marlin's first lever action rifle with side-ejection. Its the predcessor to all Modern Marlin lever action rifles and Marlin Model 1894. The main production was in 1889 - 1895, with a small number of rifles assembled later in 1896 - 1900 and 1903 from the remaining parts.
