Free Guy is a 2021 film directed by Shawn Levy and starring Ryan Reynolds as Guy, an NPC (Non-Player Character) in a Grand Theft Auto-style MMORPG (massive multiplayer online roleplaying game) known as Free City that becomes self aware. Weapon choice and handling reflect that the majority of the work takes place in the fictional video game.
