The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes is a British-American 1970 comedy detective directed by Billy Wilder and starring Robert Stephens as Sherlock Holmes and Colin Blakely as Dr. Watson. The story uses Arthur Conan Doyle's characters but looks more like a parody of "classic" Holmes. The main storyline rotates around the case of a Belgian woman Gabrielle Valladon (Geneviève Page) and her allegedly missing husband, an engineer. Sherlock's brother Mycroft (Christopher Lee), German spies and even Queen Victoria are involved.
The following weapons were used in the film The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes:
Revolvers
Webley RIC
A short barreled, nickel plated Webley RIC revolver is seen in several scenes.
Pistols
Percussion Pistol
A pair of Percussion Cap Pistols is seen on the wall in the apartments on 221B Baker Street.
Flintlock Pistol
A pair of Flintlock Pistols is also seen on the wall in the apartments on 221B Baker Street.
