An Extraordinary Assignment (Chrezvychajnoe poruchenie)
An Extraordinary Assignment (Russian title Chrezvychajnoe poruchenie, Armenian title Artakarg handznararutyun) is a Soviet Armenian 1966 (filmed 1965) adventure movie directed by Erazm Karamyan and Stepan Kevorkov. This is the second film of the trilogy about Armenian Bolshevik Simon Ter-Petrosian, better known by his nom de guerre Kamo. It follows Personally Known (Lichno izvesten) (1958) and is followed by The Last Deed of Kamo (Posledniy podvig Kamo) (1974). The story depicts a mission, performed by Kamo during the Russian Civil war: he delivers documents and large summ in gold from Petrograd to Transcaucasian Bolshevicks. The only way is across the territories, controlled by Whites. Meanwhile Boris Savinkov, leader of counterrevolutionary organisation, hunts for Kamo.
The following weapons were used in the film An Extraordinary Assignment (Chrezvychajnoe poruchenie):
Kamo (Gurgen Tonunts) and numerous Bolshevicks, Anarchists and members of counterrevolutionary organisation use Nagant M1895 revolvers. Most if not all revolvers are of anachronistic post-1930 model.
Several Anarchists carry Mauser C96 pistols. In one scene Kamo (Gurgen Tonunts) takes a Mauser from Anarchists leader Krivoy (Vladimir Kenigson). Most likely the same prop is reused in all scenes, and it appears to be a C96 Wartime model.
Unidentified pistol
Boris Savinkov (Semyon Sokolovsky), the leader of counterrevolutionary organisation, uses a pistol. It resembles Walther PP (out of time for 1917) but it's hard to say for sure.
Rifles
Mosin Nagant M1891 Infantry
Red Guards, Anarchists and White troops widely use Mosin Nagant M1891 rifles. Both Infantry and Dragoon models are seen.
Mosin Nagant M1891 Dragoon
Red Guards, Anarchists and White troops widely use Mosin Nagant M1891 rifles. Both Infantry and Dragoon models are seen.
Mosin Nagant Carbine
One of the native Caucassian guides of Kamo carries a Mosin Nagant carbine, possibly an M1938, with partially removed handguard.
Shotguns
Mosin Nagant/Frolov Shotgun
One of the native Caucassian guides of Kamo carries a long gun that appears to be a Mosin Nagant/Frolov Shotgun (or maybe but less likely this is a "sporterized" Mosin Nagant rifle).
Machine Guns
Maxim M1910/30
Maxim M1910/30 machine guns, standing for original M1910s, are used by Bolsheviks and Anarchists.
Other Weapons
RG-14 Hand Grenade
Red Guards and Anarchists carry RG-14 or RG-14/30 hand grenades.
Hand Grenade (mockup)
What appears to be a mockup of "pineapple" hand grenade is seen in several scenes. Possibly it is intended to impersonate British Mills Bomb or French F1.
