The Tromboncino Modello 28 was an Italian attempt to develop a grenade launcher, designed to be used with the Carcano M91 TS (Truppe Speciali). Its name means little trumpet in Italian. The trigger unit is linked to the trigger of the carbine. When loaded the host carbine remains inoperable because its bolt is used in the launcher, and its trigger operates both sears (in carbine and in the launcher) at the same time.
