In the same episode, Brett Woodard ([[Michael Greyeyes]]) pulls out an [[AKM]] when confronting some men in his home. (Note: if the battle in S3E04 happens in 1980, then the AKM must be some rare bring-back firearm that Woodard acquired as a Vietnam Veteran.  No civilian models of the AKM were available to the American public until 1983.  All other communist based firearms were individual bring backs until the importation restrictions on Combloc weapons was lifted for a few nations with special trade status in 1983 - most notably China and Yugoslavia. In 1983, Maadi of Egypt were able to import their own domestic versions of the AKM).

AKM

In Hays' hallucination, NVA and VC soldiers are armed with AKM rifles in "The Hour and the Day" (S3E04). In the same episode, Brett Woodard (Michael Greyeyes) pulls out an AKM when confronting some men in his home.
