His Battalion (original title Ego batalyon ) is a 1989 Soviet made for TV war drama directed by Aleksandr Karpov (Dolgie vyorsty voyny ) and based on the novel by Vasil Bykov . It depicts one day of Capt. Nikolai Voloshin, a commander of infantry battalion.
