The semi-grip stock appeared on military rifles only in late XIX century, so it's rather a bolt action rifle, possibly a Mauser of maybe an Arisaka (some details match while other differ). Following rifles in Snider-Enfield section look different:

Pencroff's rifle has different stock and possibly is shorter (maybe not).

Neb's rifle has different stock (maybe same gun that was hold by Pencroff).

Note the semi-grip stock, similar to various Mauser rifles.

A pirate at the left possibly holds a Frolovka, same that is used by Ayrton - very similar long thin barrel, and possibly Mosin magazine can be seen.
