Chappie is a 2015 science fiction film directed by Neill Blomkamp (Elysium and District 9) that revolves around a law enforcement robot who starts to learn about human emotions after being captured by criminals. The film stars Hugh Jackman and Sigourney Weaver, with Sharlto Copley providing motion capture and voice for "Chappie".
The following weapons were used in the film Chappie:
Handguns
Glock 17
Vincent Moore (Hugh Jackman) is seen carrying what appears to be a Glock 17 as his primary firearm. At one point, the Glock is fitted with an extended magazine. The weapon starts out with an OD Green frame, but later switches to a standard black frame. Amerika (Jose Pablo Cantillo) also carries a standard Glock as his sidearm throughout the film.
Vektor SP1 Sport
Ninja's (Ninja) main sidearm is a Vektor SP1 Sport fitted with a red dot sight. Chappie also handles the weapon during a few scenes.
Vektor SP1
Hippo (Brandon Auret) uses a two-tone Vektor SP1 during the climax.
Varan PMX-90
Hippo (Brandon Auret) uses two Varan PMX-90s as his main sidearms. One has a stainless slide and the other a stainless frame with a standard slide and grips, making it reverse two-tone.
Webley .38 Mk III
Deon Wilson (Dev Patel) purchases and uses a Webley .38 Mk III as his sidearm.
Desert Eagle Mark I
Ninja uses a Desert Eagle Mark I during the latter half of the film. One is also seen on the poster.
Beretta 92FS
One of Vincent's mercenaries has a Beretta holstered. One is also seen in the hands of an armored car security guard.
Submachine Guns
Armscor BXP
Yo-Landi (Yo-Landi Visser) carries a South African Armscor BXP painted bright pink.
IMI Uzi
Amerika (Jose Pablo Cantillo) uses an IMI Uzi during the opening firefight.
Micro Uzi
Yo-Landi is seen grabbing a Micro Uzi painted blue, while gearing up for the heist, and is briefly seen firing it alongside the Armscor BXP.
MAT-49
One of Hippo's (Brandon Auret) men is seen with a MAT-49. Another is seen held by one of the King's (Eugene Khumbanyiwa) bodyguards.
PPSh-41
One of Hippo's (Brandon Auret) men wields a PPSh-41 during the opening firefight.
Rifles
Vektor R5
The main weapon carried by the law enforcement robots is the Vektor R5 carbine. One of Moore's operatives is armed with a Vektor rifle in a tactical configuration with UTG quad rail mounts and CAA railed handguards. The rifle appears very similar to ones used in Strike Back - Season 3.
Mk 18 Mod 0
Ninja uses a custom Mk 18 Mod 0. It is fitted with a suppressor, ELCAN SpecterDR 1x/4X scope, PEQ-16 laser/light module, and flashlight, all painted school bus yellow with pink or yellow magazines.
Custom AK
Hippo (Brandon Auret) arms himself with a custom gold-plated AK shorty rifle. This appears to be the same custom-made AK seen in Lord of War.
AKMS
Several characters in the film use AKMS rifles, most notably Amerika (Jose Pablo Cantillo).
DSA SA58 OSW
Hippo (Brandon Auret) is seen very briefly handling what appears to be a DSA SA58 OSW carbine during the opening firefight.
Vektor R1
What appear to be Vektor R1 rifles are seen a few times in the film, first in the hands of a police sniper in the opening, and later in the hands of one of Hippo's men during the finale.
Heckler & Koch G3
One of Hippo's men appears to be using a Heckler & Koch G3 with a slimline handguard during the finale.
Armalite AR-10
One of Hippo's men is briefly seen firing what appears to be an Armalite AR-10 during the finale.
Shotguns
Remington 870
Ninja (Ninja) uses a short-barrelled Remington 870 during several scenes. It has an aftermarket foregrip and a sidesaddle shell holder. A police Scout is also seen using a Remington 870 Riot Gun later in the film.
Mossberg 500
What appears to be a Mossberg 500 is seen being loaded by a police officer in archival footage. Another police officer is seen firing a Mossberg 500 during the opening.
Sniper Rifles
Truvelo CMS Sniper Rifle
A police Scout uses a short-barreled Truvelo CMS Sniper Rifle loaded with explosive rounds during the opening gun battle.
Machine Guns
GE M134 Minigun
The GE M134 Minigun is seen mounted on the MOOSE.
M249 Para
An M249 Para is seen briefly in The King's (Eugene Khumbanyiwa) hideout.
Vektor SS-77
An Vektor SS-77 is seen briefly in an armoury at police headquarters.
Launchers
Denel Inkuzi PAW
Deon steals a Denel Inkuzi PAW from the Tetravall armory, and it is used by Yo-Landi (Yo-Landi Visser) and Chappie during the battle with the MOOSE.
Mk 19 grenade launcher
The Mk 19 grenade launcher is also seen mounted on the MOOSE.
Fictional MLRS
A fictional Multiple Launch Rocket System is seen on the MOOSE. It seems to have at least two different warheads loaded; one is a direct-attack rocket, and the other is what Vincent refers to as a 'cluster bomb', which fires in a top-attack flight profile and rains down multiple projectiles on the enemy.
RPG-7
Hippo (Brandon Auret) shoots Scout 22 with an RPG-7 during the opening shootout.
Explosives
Grenades
Deon steals a belt of grenades from the Tetravaal armory, which are later used by Chappie. They bear a resemblance to the fictional grenades seen in Elysium. Although they strongly resemble hand grenades, they are in fact triggered using a detonator.
Other
Ninja and Yo-Landi's Armory
Ninja (Ninja) and Yo-Landi (Yolandi Visser) have a very stylized armory in their hideout, with colored outlines around each weapon's mounting.
Various
Various other weapons are seen in the Tetravaal Armory, and at Hippo's (Brandon Auret) hideout.
