Lyubov Yarovaya is a Soviet 1970 historical drama movie, adapted from same title play by Konstantin Trenyov (1926) and directed by Vladimir Fetin. A family is torn apart by Russian Civil war: Mikhail Yarovoy (Vasiliy Lanovoy) is a White Army officer while his wife Lyubov Yarovaya (Lyudmila Chursina) is on Reds side. Yarovoy, whom his wife thinks dead, infiltrates the local revolutionary committee, posing as Commissar Vikhr. He foils the plan of Red troops and helps Whites to take the town. Lyubov recognizes Mikhail and renounces him. While Whites control the town, Lyubov is suspected for being a member of Red underground organisation. Mikhail saves her and claims that their love is more valuable for him than the civil war. But when Reds retake the town, Lyubov give Mikhail out.
The original play was adapted for screen four times: in 1953, 1970, 1977 and 1981.
The following weapons were used in the film Lyubov Yarovaya:
Revolvers
Nagant M1895
Nagant M1895 revolvers are widely used by both Reds and Whites, notably Poruchik Mikhail Yarovoy (Vasiliy Lanovoy), the chairman of revolutionary committee (Revcom) Roman Koshkin (Vasiliy Shukshin) and Red sailor Fyodor Shvandya (Kirill Lavrov).
Pistols
Walther Model 4
A Walther Model 4 is seen in hands of Lyubov Yarovaya (Lyudmila Chursina). Possibly same pistol was used in another Lenfilm production of 1970s, Krakh inzhenera Garina.
Mauser C96/Astra 900
Mauser C96 pistols are used by two Revcom members, Fyodor Shvandya (Kirill Lavrov) and Konstantin Grozny (Boris Novikov). Possibly this is an Astra 900 (a single prop reused), judging by the shape of the front part of the pistol, but it's not for sure.
Rifles
Mosin Nagant M1891
Mosin Nagant M1891 rifles are used by both Red and White troops.
Mosin Nagant M1938 Carbine
Some White Cossacks and soldiers use out of time Mosin Nagant M1938 Carbines.
Machine Guns
Maxim M1910
A Maxim M1910 is seen on Reds outpost on the bridge. Maxims are also mounted on Whites armoured car.
Other Weapons
Dummy Training Grenade
Poruchik Mikhail Yarovoy (Vasiliy Lanovoy) holds a hand grenade during the escape from Whites headquarters. It appears to be a dummy training stick grenade, standing for RG-14 hand grenade.
Trivia
Holsters
Artillery
An abandoned 3-inch M1902 field gun is seen on the road.
Armour
A replica of Austin armoured car is used in the movie.
