Avalanche from the Mountains (direct translation of the original title Lavina s gor) is a Soviet 1959 (filmed 1958) historical movie, directed by Vasily Zhuravlyov. It depicts the events of Russian Revolution 1917 on North Caucasus. Soldier of Kabardian horse regiment Ansor returns home from battlefield and finds his family in dire need. Soon Ansor and his comrades-in-arms decide to join Bolsheviks, led by prominent revolutionary leader Sergei Mironovich Kirov.
The following weapons were used in the film Avalanche from the Mountains (Lavina s gor):
Revolvers
Nagant M1895
Nagant M1895 revolvers are used by Ansor (Aleksandr Shvorin), Bolshevik Kantemyr (Georgi Chernovolenko) and Prince Naurbekh's manservant Musa (Georgiy Millyar).
Unidentified revolver
Rotmistr Dyshlinskiy (Andrey Fayt) carries a compact revolver in holster.
Pistols
Mauser C96
Mauser C96 pistols are used by Ataman Shkuro (Vladimir Belokurov), Prince Naurbekh (Sergei Papov) and some minor characters.
FN Model 1900
Prince Naurbekh (Sergei Papov) is also seen with an FN Model 1900.
Rifles and Muskets
Mosin Nagant M1938 Carbine
Out of time Mosin Nagant M1938 Carbines are used by former soldiers of Kabardian horse regiment, including Ansor (Aleksandr Shvorin), Bolsheviks Mashuka (Gurgen Tonunts) and Gritsyuk (Lev Zolotukhin), and Ataman Shkuro's Terek Cossacks.
Note: see additional images on talk page.
Percussion Cap Musket
A percussion cap musket is seen in hands of Lina (Inna Vykhodtseva), at first Ansor's sworn enemy and then his bride. This gun is probably converted from flintlock to percussion cap. Originally it was possibly Russian M1808 Infantry or M1809 Dragoon musket.
Various Long Guns
Various long guns are seen in Prince Naurbekh's house.
Shotguns
Double Barreled Shotgun
A local shepherd is seen with a Double Barreled Shotgun. A shotgun is also seen in Mashuka's house.
Machine Guns
Maxim M1910

Others
76.2 mm divisional gun model 1902
A Russian 76.2 mm divisional gun model 1902 is seen on battlefield of Great War, standing for a German gun.
